I am not really sure what happens in the US if after the mid term elections a seat falls vacant due to death,resignation or a judicial disqualification of an elected member....but here in the Islamic republic of Pakistan....we have by election within a few day ...most convenient to the election commission.....Usually the National Assembly does not last its full term ...so there are less by election...but this term is a little different...in the previous Army controlled setup of Musharaf/shaukat/Q-league ....a constitutional amendment made it mandatory for all candidates to be educated with a university undergraduate degree the 2008 election were held under that constitutional amendment....so all the legislators elected should have been university degree holders....turns out most of  the honorable legislators presented fake ...yes I repeat fake degrees from reputable institutions of the country....Amazing isn't it...? and what is more bizarre is that they even annulled the constitutional requirement unanimously in the 18th Amendment to the constitution of Pakistan...so that never again they may be asked about their educational qualification....very nice...but thanks to the political rivalry of PPP and PML( n) the fake degrees were discovered ...the election defrauding case went to the court and the courts disqualified many members of parliament and honorable political leaders of the of both parties....lol

Today on the 4th sep 2010 ...a by election was held in NA 184 constituency of Bahawalpur....where after the disqualification of Mr Amir yar waran exMNA ,PPP gave the ticket to his wife Khadija Amir waran....who won the seat which is very obvious...and no surprise to anyone except maybe to the candidate and her dear husband...and a few inlaws....the more interesting thing is that this win came at a time when the tug of war between the people of Pakistan on one side and the Army lead establishment on the other side....was at a very crucial stage... 
My memory does not serves me right so I don't actually remember when..but I am sure that I convinced both sides that they need the tug in between or the other side might take over....lol

Winning a by election rejoicing,dancing and drinking and merry making means nothing...PPP have failed the people of Pakistan. It has yet again proved that it is not capable of handling the Army... 
and oxford graduates are merely the show pieces...it is the party of the illiterates and cheats.
The Army has as expected proved that it does not care about the people of Pakistan or Pakistan...they could have saved both by preventing the flood,death and destruction...just as they are saving now after getting the ransom money and permanent source of income from the international donors and their pledges....

But the more sad and heartbreaking thing is that the People of Pakistan they don't really care about anything at all....
