US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, who is on her four-nation tour in the Persian Gulf region, has made a surprise visit to Yemen. She became the first American State Secretary to visit that country in 20 years, after the visit by James Baker in 1990, when he tried to get Yemen’s support for the UN resolution backing the use of force against Iraq which had occupied Kuwait, but was rebuffed.Since then, relations between Washington and Sana’a have never been too cordial. Last year, Yemen was called by the US intelligence as the country hosting the strongest branch of Al Qaeda, the so called “Al Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula”. Yemen is also known as a country where Al Qaeda’s training camps are located, and the source of numerous terrorist attacks against the US, including those committed by parcels sent via ordinary mail to targets in the US. All leading sunday journals have adorned the front pages with a warning from Hillary Clinton ...that Pakistan can face severe consequences if in future a faisal shahzad kind of attempt with links that can be traced back to Pakistan is successful...

Now the thing is that what Mrs Clinton has said is not very far from the truth and it is what ever Pakistani is thinking right now....maybe that's the reason why it made to the front headlines of my newspapers on the Mother's day sunday...Faisal Shahzad is a classic case of Brain drain ending up in the sewers

There are two missing links that I have not understood in this case....the Motive and the missing Wife and kids....if Iam lucky maybe the two could be one....Faisal did it just to let the dogs out and find his family who could be hiding from him...
