Sabki laadli Bebo...shows legs...

In the last 397 episodes ,I don't really know how many years that makes...,of Starplus's mega serial "Sabki laadli Bebo"...I don't recall ever seeing Bebo (shivshakti sachdev) in anything but the pure indian/punjabi dress of a knee length shirt with a very tight tang pajama(pants) and a dupatta...do you...no I don't think so....its not just her character but her evil twin Rano.. who tried to take her place in the previous episodes was also forced to dress just like her.....Since its a story of a simple sardar family of Amritsar ...I believe I have not even seen Bebo in an indian sari as well....very short sleeves and body hugging shirts is the most she has done so far....for 397....episodes...unbelieveble..!  



Recently I have noticed that since starplus has been banned by Pakistan ....most of the lead female characters in more popular serials are trying to look different...trying to change their getups and wordrobes to the western wear which the actors usually wear and prefer to be seen in their ordinary off starplus screen lives....the only reason that I could think of for this sudden change in  dressing is that they know that their fans in Pakistan can now only watch the serials on the net....

I am sure everyone of my dear reader's remember this very passionate Micheal Bolton song...it has been mine favorite song ever since it was first released...it had a very cool video as well which used to be played on Mtv and channel V a lot..very regularly....taking about regularly these days me and my mother and rest of the family is watching a hindi soap "Pratigiya" very regularly on the StarPlus channel.It is a very intense boy meets girl kind of love story....the boy a scoundrel and illiterate from a rich and influential family of a small town accidentally meets this pretty and bold girl from a lower cast and class family of a university professor ...falls in love at first sight...does not take "No" for an answer....marries the girls forcefully thus making her hate him the most....as a result the girl does not let him touch her even after becoming the lawfully wedded couple.....the Boy despite being the Macho type is so much in love with her that he does not want to hurt her feelings and wants her to love him back equally....The family and friends are surprised and shocked to see this unique one sided love affair....and so are the audience .....very interesting events happened when the two were on a Honeymoon....
This story has no real triangle or a villian which is quite remarkable..but one thing which is worth mentioning here is that the young sister of the boy was forced to marry the girl's elder brother as a condition set forth by the girl's family to safeguard against any misbehavior by the boy or his primitive family.... but this turns out to be a double jeopardy for the girl's family and her brother as the younger sister of the boy is more scornful and unruly than her scoundrel brothers..and father.
This serial is aired every weeknight mon-fri 11:00pm and everybody wait for it anxiously ...special arrangements are made for backup power for power shut down... nobody wants to miss the first run of the new episode every night....
