Tiger woods is back....ha ha

Recently I was watching the movie The devil and Daniel Webster/shortcut to happiness.....it is indeed very different from most devil and soul stories....first of all the devils a she....what else could a budding writer expect from the lord....
Today when I found out about the return of Tiger woods to the golf...I felt like he has been through hell and back during the past couple of months...but the way he was going...falling in the pits...I knew he is going to come back sooner or later....It was surprising in its self the way Tiger's sponsors and clubs reacted to a wife-mistress affair....its golf for god's sake....who cares...? the thing is that if I was able to see this why did his sponsors not able to see this coming....it is indeed a big disgrace for them....now how can anybody trust them...?Most top players like Tiger woods play for sponsors....and when they get what they never deserved...should they be still playing for them or choose some others....this is what Iam hoping to learn from someone who has been to the hell and back....

Is Sania mirza a victim of unforced error....

Tennis as you all know is a very interesting game to play to watch and also to referee or judge.A week ago the sporting world was taken by surprise when Sania mirza announced her wedding plans with a former pakistani cricket player shoaib malik....shoaib has been in the news before regarding his controversial marriage with another hyderabadi girl ..the home town of Sania mirza, but maybe this young couple was not expecting her and her family to be used now by the media to put them in pressure.
The girl Ayesha siddiqui and her family are not against this union so far...all they are demanding is that Mr Shoaib malik accept the marriage and divorce his wife....before he marries Sania mirza....But Shoaib malik and his family in pakistan is not willing to accept the marriage and claims that ayesha and her family committed fraud and cheating....showed a picture of some other girl.
Both families are accusing and threatening each other to take them to court...in their respective countries....Both seems to have hired lawyers and instructed them to proceed.
So where does the sweetheart of the millions the Only player in the history to have played the second round in wimbledon ladies singles from the sub-continent...and many other Grand slam tournaments,Stands....?
Standing shoulder to shoulder with your groom just days before the wedding and defending her groom to the media and the world is not so good....Most indian and pakistani girls of their background are not allowed to see eachother ....it is considered a bad omen (apshugan). But than Sania has broken many barriers to be where she is... according to the latest WTA she has 740pts and is No 90 in the tennis ranking of 2010....lets see how she plays against her own home town lass...

Happy Easter....!

Life can be so unbelievably unfaithful to you that you cannot imagine....some people get what they want when they want it...Others don't even get it even if they deserve it....take for example a thing as insignificant as an apple.....it falls on some peoples head whether they want it or not...and others have to walk or drive for miles to get an apple only to be told..."ah we are sorry ....out of stock....next shop 50km..."
This happens with so many things in life...and when this happens one asks himself ...Why?...Why now..?....Why me ?
Is this the lord testing me or punishing me..? or is this my own fault...this would have never have had happened to me if I had been not so lazy...or more careful.
Or is it somebody else playing tricks on me.....?
The Day that is now completely over was one of the most important day of this year 2010 The Easter Sunday....I was hoping and planning to indulge myself with all the things I had kept myself away from during the Lent...But due to the gum infection and toothache....I was almost on fasting the whole day.I can't even have a cup of tea...a thing that I take for granted...I feel so awful and depressed. This has never happened to me before ever on an Easter Sunday.....every year I enjoy a lot on this day....eat the hot and spicy food so much that I begin to sweat like a pig...but today I am cold and dry....weak and unhappy.Maybe this is it...the Lord's way of warning me to be more careful about my diet and hygiene. If this is so than the Lord or whoever acted on his behalf...does care about me.....Wow !

where love and hate collide....Boom!

On the holy saturday yesterday the russian police released the pictures of this young couple Dzhennet Abdurakhmanova , suspected of blowing herself up in suicide attacks in the Moscow metro, and her late husband Umalat Magomedov, a prominent insurgent killed by Russian forces
Now no matter how Anti-taleban I am and how much I hate terrorism....this doesn't seem right at all...Why in the world are these innocent looking people of Dagestan are at war....and where the hell is dagestan by the way....is it still in russia or is it an autonomous independent from russia....it must be under russian regime why else would they blow up a russian train in Moscow to take revenge.
The suicide attack which killed many commuters on the russian train has surely highlighted this issue of human rights.

I'll be there for you....

Yesterday was a very interesting day in for people with wings....Pakistan Airforce did a drill on the lahore-islamabad motorway....by landing and taking off their fighter jets....
And the US immigration announced that they are discontinuing the security screening process recently started at most US airports which was protested by most muslim and pakistani travelers.

Is it Good Friday...really ?

Every year in lent and usually near the good friday here in Karachi we have the Dust Cloud(I love to call it Sandblasting...and rejoice it) one fine morning ....It starts usually a few hours after the sunset the night earlier...and settles down with the sunset...I remember this Good friday couple of years ago probably five or six years ago...I was on my morning walk after the Fajr prayers when the dust begin to get thicker and the visibility grew lesser and lesser.....very stubbornly I kept walking .....there was very little traffic that morning and people on foot were too scared or irritated to walk in that dust...took to the nearest shelter or did not come out at all...After almost two hours of my regular walk when I returned home...and looked my self in the mirror...I was horrified to see my thick black hairs fully covered with dust even the thick black eyebrows....it was like an eighty years old me standing in front of me....smiling...ThankGod nobody saw me in the house as everybody was either asleep or locked inside their rooms due to this dust....even though my thick black hairs are now began to turn grey except for the thick black eyebrows and the unwanted hairs....I feel I could never be so horrified to see myself the way I saw my self in that mirror that Good friday....it was Awesome...almost divine.

April fool's day

During my happy days I had the opportunity of visiting the British council Library karachi very religiously....at least once a month and borrow four books for a month. These books became my friend and life and I gave up on all my previous friends. For some odd reason I began to be attracted to their poetry section. I began to spend most of my time there by the poetry books rack...I used to grab the small stool and sit there for an hour or more.I read Milton, pope,Eliot,Wordsworth ,Spenser and many others.
Not having the luxury of a good poetry teacher and an opportunity to visit the theater I was my self surprised as hell when the words and lines began to make sense...and the most amazing thi
ng happened when I accidentally picked one of the Canterbury tales by Chaucer.
At first I was very scared because I felt like I have already read it...a notion that still surprises me and makes me uneasy some times...soon after I had finished the second tale I began to feel like one of the friars......it was a very difficult time for me because I was going off the track and everybody was getting impatient. They were sure that I am wastin
g my time and that speaking nonsense all the time....many offered help some even tried to coerce ..anyways I somehow managed to escape unhurt and the shrink never got to show her pretty legs and write prescriptions for me...I consider this to be One of the greatest achievements of my life.
In one of chaucer's canterburry tales ...I believe its the NUN'S Priest's ta
le unknowingly begineths the April fool's day.It is believed that what he meant was the 32 days after march that is 2nd may....

Thus regal, as a prince is in his hall,
I'll now leave busy Chanticleer to feed,
And with events that followed I'll proceed.
When that same month wherein the world began,
Which is called March, wherein God first made man,
Was ended, and were passed of days also,
Since March began, full thirty days and two,
It fell that Chanticleer, in all his pride,
His seven wives a-walking by his side,
Cast up his two eyes toward the great bright sun
(Which through die sign of Taurus now had run
Twenty degrees and one, and somewhat more),
And knew by instinct and no other lore
That it was prime, and joyfully he crew,
"The sun, my love," he said, "has climbed anew
Forty degrees and one, and somewhat more.
My lady Pertelote, whom I adore,
Mark now these happy birds, hear how they sing,
And see all these fresh flowers, how they spring;
Full is my heart of revelry and grace."
