Here in Karachi and most probably in Mumbai too the pavements for walking with the busy streets have been illegally occupied by expansion of the shops ,carts and vendors or by the parked cars.Just the other day i was walking on a busy street in the neighborhood on the extreme possible side of the street between the traffic and the parked cars on the pavements or on the street when suddenly a motorcycle with two gentlemen riders came from behind against the flow of the traffic (wrong side) slightly touched me before applying the brakes.In a state of shock and bewilderment and after cry of exclamation (!) wordless sound the word that came from my mouth was unbelievably "SORRY". Now suppose at this very moment i or anybody who cannot even speak the language of this movie had come out of the movie theater after watching a constant verbal tirade from the main characters of this movie had a similar incident, I have no doubt in my mind what so ever what the first few words could have been.I wont repeat them here because in the past few years and especially last summer under direct physical and verbal attack upon me i failed to even respond with those exquisite delicacies of the Indian language and culture. The Strength of my character or probably good upbringing (achay sanskar) often surprises me in times of shock and hurt where i cannot possibly claim the presence of mind and will power.Obviously the sequel and the original have been sponsored by the Notorious ISI or any of its sister agencies who are finding it more and more difficult to make me respond to Sargent major kind of behavior which to my clear understanding is a prerequisite to a higher level of social acceptance in the prevalent society and and predominant culture that i have been so blatantly skulking to the mental aggravation of all those who have tried and failed to get me there....
