HBO pakistan comes out with a nice no gooosbumps very predictable end upto the grand canyon road trip movie for my post friday prayer viewing pleasure.You know what i think that somebody wanted to make a movie of my favorite sitcom the big bang theory and ended up with this a without cutting edge nice movie which is nice and funny no doubt but is a little drag.
Btw, i do hope so no Animal or dog was harmed in anyway during the filming of this movie :P

You know what I am beginning to like these NRI hindi movies these are better in quality and have better color and sound.Not all have unnecessary special effects.some are very interesting. the story of this movie is interesting even without the psychic touch.Even though the mythology behind the story is so totally  against my belief  but i always like to watch a good movie or hear a story where the one supreme Lord is glorified in any way.Amen!

i love Hindi movies like these because watching together with  Ammi late at night she turns her face away and pretends to be sleeping .if its an english movie i usually tell her what's going on from time to time that keeps her interested unless she had missed any of her prime time hindi soaps and wants to watch the re-run.last night i had an early supper and a few hours of sleep so when i woke up and went to her room after midnight she was very glad to see me and almost done watching her hindi soaps.the tv was turned off the remote was on the side table between her bed and my couch which is a sign.
Anyways its a very nice movie and all the actors have performed very well.The issues highlighted in this movie of the jail vs correctional facility have been under constant debate and review by the legal and judicial experts around the world.But recently i have observed that there is a growing concern in big cities like mumbai and karachi  about having an underworld right in the middle of the city. Some concerned parents and citizens shudder to think and the land and builder mafia see it as a prime piece of property going waste and causing nuisance for the whole community.Just today the breaking news i heard before bed tea was of trouble in PIB and gulistan-e-johar the areas nearest to the karachi central jail and the faisal cantt an army dump.the life and living of the people living in these particular localities of karachi have been so disturbed by indiscriminate incidents of firing that i am sure somebody somewhere must be thinking of moving these out of the city limits.After watching the movie it is very difficult to say if that somebody is thinking and running the show from the inside or outside. lol   

"The Mask" (1994) Theatrical Trailer

Before the start of this movie on HBO yesterday totally unaware of it being scheduled i went out for the daily breakfast shopping and saw my estranged ex-brother and his wife parked in front of the shop waiting.For years they have been used by someone i am not sure ( really ) who to make me hate the very things i love the most in this world.Their life so far has not at all been fun because i love so many things and follow so many different pursuits and passions in life that it is not humanly possible for them or to many others around me to even understand what and who i may be interested in next.They may cause a little distraction for the time being but usually they do not change the whole mind set.
I gave up reading and collecting comic books a very long time ago and i even stopped watching cartoons  and animations after i had cable and internet but "The MASK" is the only comic character that has completely grabbed my full attention.I have enjoyed all episodes of the animated version watched them many times and same is with this movie.I enjoy it more everytime i see it.Obviously I love the character of MASK more than his original Stanley ipkis but as a mentor i feel the MASK has inspired me to feel more empowered without the special powers of the MASK.Having special power which are uncontrollable is not good for anybody and especially oneself.The best special power i believe is not the one which gives you control over others, it is the one which gives you maximum control over your mind and body and for the maximum period of time.

I can't think straight (2008)

The homeland security or whatever keeping an eye on me must be so jealous on the way i am being pampered these days.personally it feels like all the slot machines in a casino  are throwing up at the same time (not possible) .or my bio rhythmic  cycle is a straight line way above the zero line that can only happen if i am dead (possible. I used to hear a lot of "catch it " in accents and dialects of the old karachi areas from kids playing street cricket.Thank god i am dead.lol)

This movie has been in rotation on the cable for quite some time and i was desperate to watch it (lol) so i finally did.(:P) .yes it is a nice movie but since there are so many cultures and accents ,faith and other issues are involved that even with a brilliant performance by Nina Wadia it cannot be termed as a funny movie.The Tennis rally between the lead girls is an interesting thought (:O)

Being a single woman guy i have been living a life of shame for a very long time not being able to help all those  desolate gay guys and especially the lesbian women.If i have understood correctly gay and lesbian happily married loving eachother so much couples do need the help of a very straight not necessarily cheap person to have a family.(lol) Anyways  you can't have the scoop from the cone and return the biscuit somebody will suspect the foul-play.and nobody shares the cone icecream with anybody without some kind of affection.The affection for the same or the opposite sex does not prove love. and love without sex is against most religions and sex without a ring is legally blond.So.... 

I was too young and a little naive when the Star Wars began.Too busy and a little naive when the Harry Potter began.And now i am too old and a little naive for all this Hunger Games jargon ,although it was fun to see some people taking a bite of carrot while talking to me yesterday in the neighborhood.it all ended when i visited the sweet meat shop and stood very near the minced carrot sweet  and glanced at it.. lol
so what i am trying to say is that these fad have come and gone without having a very real impact on my life.I choose my own challenges and rate my own successes and failures.Just like these days i try to watch a hindi movie on the kohenoor channel  on tv.and especially a movie like this one was quite a fiat to accomplish last evening when i have already watched more than a fair share for the day.it is a good movie with good catchy tunes but it also reminds me that Hunger games or no hunger games , some things  and the course of me being a little naive cannot be altered at any cost or a period of time.lol
PS: never start with a handicap no matter what :P

Now who in his right state of mind would believe a guy being taunted and mimed by girls of blood and strangers alike  living a godforsaken miserable life of their own for not having a life ,money or a job .if he says that i am not crazy...and yet gives up his favorite "bradalina" movie in urdu  on filmax to watch this Colin Ferrel and Christopher lee movie. Crazy absolutely crazy. lol
So what's up there was a lot of nut crackers and bar coders stuff on my movie cable..did i break a sound barrier or something yesterday or were they missing me at some psychiatric convention at a holiday resort where you make out  with tall white blonds and drink till you drop.Nah iam a single woman guy and they know it very well.lol
it is a great movie no doubt but i will not recommend it to any of my friends not even to the  girls mentioned above. 
The movie channel showed it with a title tag of "Shell Shocked" don't know why but it suited the movie more.I remember the time when my dearest brother who is a nicest person in the world used to work in a big karachi hospital .Everyday and night he had to see the dead and mutilated bodies. the worst was the dying and badly injured.He was clearly losing it and i had to watch him suffer with a bleeding heart.At that time it did occur to me to learn a little about being a shrink.Just at that very moment Christopher lee came to karachi and saved me with his memorable movie "Jinnah" and its amazing Anthem "junoon se aur ishq se milti hai azadi" absolutely rocking stuff believe you me.
Watching Triage (2009) did scratch a few unhealed wounds and salted it too but i am very glad and thankful they choose the Big day 23rd March for the slaughter :)

After a hopeless performance by the Pakistan team in Asia Cup cricket final the word on the street was very dismal so i choose to watch the Movie.There were two Justin long (the chipmunk's guy) movies on at the same time imagine that....Accepted (2006) on HBO and He's just not into you (2009) on ZOOM Movies . the Later had a better cast but because i had seen the hindi version of Accepted recently (F.A.L.T.U) so i choose Accepted (lol) by doing so i was also able to enjoy the final overs of the final match isn't that just incredible...? :P

Wow! now this is the movie where an icon becomes a legand and a legand becomes a Goddess. Superb out of this world acting by all and a very powerful script and direction.I loved and enjoyed every milli-second of the ending.
The other day i tried very hard to watch "bluff master" on Kohinoor channel and couldn't and tonight it was very late so i tried not watch this movie and couldn't.
I am very emotional as i say God Bless the whole team of this movie and Thankyou !

I don't know why but this movie seems to be the real St Partick's day treat from my favorite Movie Channel the StarMovies.This is a sequel and a great one.Honestly I don't like the Saga the good and the bad vampires and the lycans evil and detest-ful or the other (funny) werewolves.But then again i have been constantly suffering from the woman empowerment syndrome for a very long  time somebody hinted that the main cause is having a weak mother and to make it even worse she developed cervical spondolysis.I see it as a sign wrapped up with an autoplay "lol" soundcloud from the Lord and the Admiralty."hey wasiq the delinquent ! you are never gonna get any support from that side of the gender bias ...ha ha ha!!! "
So i pray and i pray and you never know...
Anyways the only problem i have with this movie in particular and the Saga in general is the logic in logistics.but then time and again i am reminded that if Sir Richard Branson who have all the luxuries to fly can use the unimaginable modes of transportation just for fun why can't the vampires and lycans who  are fighting a war for survival and existence.lol

when family breaking news breaks obviously nobody tells me or wants to be seen as the informer or whistle blower and due to the family politics and personal grudge some don't even want to show the concern . Facebook has changed everything.The unusual activity on the Facebook Home page and online chat is like an aftershock.I know instantly something is happening or happened.especially if the news is hushed up or a facebook junky told not to tell anyone.Some very intelligent and smart people change their profile pictures.it works just like emoticons.it helps their friends and stalkers know something is cooking. And the best of the best thing is that now if anybody hear something bad happening to somebody they know very well they put up something on their wall anything like a picture or a status update or something interesting shared from some friends wall just to say that we are alive and well.This is nothing short of a miracle because i have family culture where a dear aunt kept calling on the phone from the US all year round on every single festive holiday for idhere oudher ki gupein and never ever mentioned her nephew fighting cancer for the past ten months.I found out a week after his death.Don't you think its a little bit unfair.Anyways, things are changing now just like the cadbury believed by me to be an integral part of kashmir british dulture is now absolutely American and there is nothing we the Pakistani's can  do except to enjoy.

Oh no....oh no.....not again...at least not Dr Ashutosh...lol The serial is now leaps and bounds away from the screen play by hasina moin and the original pakistani tv series with marina khan.
Honestly i had already lost the interest in this love triangle but with a new face( sharad kelkar of bairi piya fame ) and voice Dr Ashutosh and Malika maam in more command i might see a few episodes more...so i may not feel like an utter fool during family chats.

Oh I love this movie for two main reasons....

I don't think if deja vu is the right word...Ammi and i watch the sony tv hit serial bare achay lagte hain ..mon to fri today on a Saturday night we watched this instead.so far ram and priya are still trying to be a couple after marriage...in the movie Ram has a daughter all grown up....and he gets to test a boy for her daughters' marriage...serials on sony don't run that long....this could have happened on starplus or colors. anyways its a nice movie.
