y is very famous for not being consistent and long term.In the eighties and nineties ..during and after the cold war ...they used the term MFN (most favored nation) allure a not so friendly nation....since 9/11 they have been very very edgy and do not consider anybody as their friend...there is a term I believe xenophobic that applies to them.
